Imbued with love for dissemination of quality education to this remote part of Karimganj district, Dr.K.R.Paul, a veteran educationist and a social activist of Ramkrishnanagar along with his close associates, undertook a formidable task of setting-up a college of education a few years back. A noble mission as it was, his endeavour did not go waste, and having passed through a long spell of incessant pursuance and hard toiling, he made it possible. So, here stands G.C.Paul College of Education at Dharanala, po: Kalinagar,: T.E, dist: Karimganj as an emblem of devotion and commitment towards his late father and community.
The college, with its most up-to-date infrastructure, adorned with smart classrooms, laboratories for Psychological and other pedagogical tests, a well-equipped library and a band of promising faculties, is now ready to stride in the direction of achieving a status of an excellent centre for teacher-education in the Barak Valley and also in the North-East.
The Managing Director and the Members of the Governing Body of the college have shown their confidence in me and I take it not only as a matter of great honour but also as a scope to contribute the best I have in the field of teacher education. I am thankful to them and hope, with the cooperation of the Management, Governing Body, Faculty Members, Students and the people of Ramkrishnanagar and its neighbourhood, I will be able to install a good inspiring academic environment in the college without any difficulty.
